New England Patriots vs Carolina PanthersSunday, November 7, 2:00 pm ET
A very fun match-up this weekend as the New England Patriots look to continue to build momentum in their push for the playoffs this season in the AFC.
Two wins against the Jets and the Chargers have them right back in the hunt and their complex defense and strong offense are finally starting to come together at the right time.
The Panthers on the other hand managed to get a win against the Falcons last week in a decent ball game, but their offense still looks disjointed and is trying to figure itself out as the season carries on.
Back the Patriots to edge it
The Patriots will be going up against an old friend in Sam Darnold this week. But it's their current man in Mac Jones who holds the key to this victory for New England.
Against the Chargers, he wasn't particularly good, but he had a steady game with no mistakes and ultimately it was that which helped them to come away with a big win against Los Angeles Chargers on the road.
If he can do that again and the Patriots defense can do the job it's expected to do then the Patriots should be able to earn a victory here. The rushing attack is getting better with each passing game and I'd expect at least one touchdown to separate these two sides.
At -12, back the Patriots to take the spread of -4 and pocket yourself some change.
Alternatively, you could back the under when it comes to points totals. The Patriots have one of the slowest offenses in the NFL and they tend to run the clock a lot and use short passing plays to gain yards up the field.
Their defense has been solid and with Darnold in the opposing QB slot, it seems as though a low-scoring game will ensue. Under 40.5 points seems logical as I can't imagine either team picking up a lot of points in this one, so back that at -108 too.

After very different results in week 8, these two sides meet up in week 9. The Chargers were well beaten by the Patriots in their last outing while the Eagles absolutely destroyed the Lions with a 44-6 score.
Despite that though, there is a substantial gap in quality between these two sides and we should expect the Chargers to bounce back in a big way this weekend.
Back the Chargers on the spread
Bill Belichick's brilliant defense rattled young quarterback Justin Herbert last week and he will be keen to put things right when he goes up against Jalen Hurts this week.
As a spread, this betting line is totally off. The Eagles are at home but they've shown this season that they don't really have a competent attacking lineup against any decent sides and Hurts has shown he isn't the answer in the quarterback role.
The Chargers have a better quarterback, better offensive line, better defensive line and a better coach. They should win this one relatively easily so lump on that spread.
Go for the overs!
While Hurts has struggled to cement himself as a top quarterback, there aren't many in the league better when it comes to putting up points in the fourth quarter.
He has the legs to trouble defenses late in games and creates splash plays which could help to close the gap in the latter stages. I can't imagine that the Chargers will struggle to score points here, but if the Eagles can put up 20+ then this over should hit pretty comfortably at -110.
Green Bay Packers vs Kansas City ChiefsSunday, November 7th, 2:00 pm ET
The Packers have the main man Aaron Rodgers to thank for their brilliant form this season, with his personality and performances forcing his teammates to rise to the occasion and help the team win tough games.
They are looking to keep pace at the top of the NFC to try and take the number one seed, while the Chiefs are desperate to stack their wins and get back in the Wildcard race for the AFC.
Two elite quarterbacks go head-to-head here but overall it's the Packers who are the stronger team and they should earn themselves a victory.
The fact the spread has got the Packers with an advantage is something that you can't ignore considering the state of the Chiefs defense recently. In a game that is likely to see plenty of field goal attempts, it seems like another game where Rodgers will lift his team's performance to grind out the win.
