Season so far
Baltimore have had a fantastic season so far, but it didn't start out in the best way despite them winning their opening two games thanks to a 25-9 victory over Houston Texans before a 27-24 win over this weekend's opponents Cincinnati in game week 2.
They suffered an overtime defeat to the Indianapolis Colts in week 3, before beating the Cleveland Browns 28-3 and then losing again to the Pittsburgh Steelers 10-17 in week 5 to make it a 3-2 start to the campaign for them.
Since then though they have been flying. A trip to London, England saw them defeat the Tennessee Titans 24-16, before wins over the Detroit Lions 38-6, Arizona Cardinals 31-24 and Seattle Seahawks 37-3 made it four wins in a row. They were then beaten by the Browns in a rematch from Game 4, losing 33-31 at home to end their win streak.
They bounced back last time out with a convincing 34-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, to move to the top of the AFC North rankings.
The Chargers on the other hand have had a really mixed start to their season, and currently have a losing record.
They opened their season with a close-fought 36-34 defeat to the Miami Dolphins in week 1 while week 2 wasn’t any better for them as they went up against the Tennessee Titans and fell to a 27-24 overtime defeat.
Week 3 was more successful thanks to a 28-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings, where a first-quarter shutout helped them to victory as they scored a touchdown in all four quarters, before week 4 saw them beat the Las Vegas Raiders 24-17 thanks to a dominant first-half which meant their scoreless second half didn’t matter ahead of a bye in week 5.
Week 6 saw them go up against the Dallas Cowboys and suffered another close loss 17-20, with Dallas scoring 10 points in the final quarter to claim the win, before a beating from reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs in a 17-31 game in week 7.
Since then though they've lost their last two games, losing 38-41 to the Detroit Lions and then the Green Bay Packers last time out 20-23.
NFL Picks: Baltimore Ravens -3.5 @ -105
Baltimore is fifth in the NFL in scoring at 27 points per game and has scored at least 31 in its last four contests, which makes this a sensational bet.
Gus Edwards has been finding the end zone with regularity of late, rushing for seven touchdowns during his current four-game streak. He is third in the league with a career-high eight touchdown runs after recording 13 over his first four seasons.
Lamar Jackson continues to be a key part of the Ravens' ground attack and has run for five scores, two shy of his career-high. The 2019 NFL MVP, who has rushed for 1,000 yards twice, is second on the team with 481 this year. Tight end Mark Andrews has hauled in six of Jackson's 10 touchdown passes in 2023 and is four scoring receptions away from matching the career-high he set in 2019.
By scoring 31+ points in each of their last four games, the chances of the Chargers staying within a field goal seem slim and that should see this spread bet come in.

NFL Picks: Over 47 total points @ -107
So far this season the Ravens have been averaging 27 points scored per game, but as mentioned already they have scored 31+ in each of their last four games.
The Chargers on the other hand are averaging 25.9 points per game so far this season from their ten games, and have scored 27+ points in three of their last four games too.
If both teams are capable of matching their recent form on offense then this points total should float in relatively easily. It would be the fifth time a Ravens game has surpassed the total and the sixth time a Chargers game has done it, so it wouldn't exactly be a shock either.
With the likes of Lamar Jackson and Gus Edwards in such good form, back the over to land and enjoy the fantastic action on the field while you earn yourself some extra cash.
