Over in Queens, New York, the excitement for the 2024 U.S. Open could not be higher. For both the men and women, the field is totally loaded and the best players in the world are hoping to make a splash here. Soon enough, champions will be crowned and we can't wait to see how things play out. With that said, Carlos Alcaraz remains the favorite to win the U.S. Open this summer. Will he get the job done?
Not long ago, Alcaraz was heartbroken after he lost in the gold medal match against Novak Djokovic with the title on the line. Alcaraz wanted to bring home the gold for his home country, but he fell one win short. Now, plenty of eyes are on him to try and make magic happen at the U.S. Open. It won't be easy, but we all know he's going to be quite motivated to come out on top this time around.

Believe it or not, Jannik Sinner is our pick to win the 2024 U.S. Open. Right now, Alcaraz is getting a ton of attention and understandably so. On top of that, Djokovic is looking to make a ton of noise too, as he holds the No. 2 odds to win the U.S. Open. A lot of experts think that Djokovic and Alcaraz will go on to meet in the championship round.
However, we simply can't forget about Sinner. He continues to be one of the best tennis players on the planet and his high level of play is something that can't be ignored. Just recently, he won the title at the Cincinnati Masters, which 100 percent has given him some extra confidence ahead of the U.S. Open. He'll look to carry things over in Queens.

“I’m happy, this was a very difficult week,” Sinner said after winning the tournament in Cincinnati. “It was tough mentally but I tried to do my best. Frances and I were both tired from the semifinals and there was a lot of tension. I’m just glad I kept my level in the important moments. I handled the situations on court well. There were many ups and downs, but that’s normal. At the big moments of each match, I played well."

On the other side of things, Aryna Sabalenka is the favorite to win the women's side of the tourney. This shouldn't come as a surprise, as she herself is one of the top players on the planet. However, a lot of people think it's going to come down to either her or Iga Swiatek. Swiatek has five major titles to her name, which is impressive for sure.
Not only that, but she won the U.S. Open back in 2022, which is something she's still fired up about. Could we end up seeing these two talented playmakers in the final? That wouldn't be a surprise at all, but others are hoping to make a ton of noise here too. On the list is no question Coco Gauff, who is ready to make a splash in Queens from start to finish here. She's someone who should be taken seriously, no doubt.
While this could really go either way, something tells us that Sabalenka is going to do more than enough to pull off the title win. From our chair, we think that Sabalenka and Swiatek will go on to meet in the final, which will be quite entertaining. From there, things will be quite close, but Sabalenka will find a way to close things out. With all of that said, we're going with Sabalenka as our pick for the women's side.
