European nations will be putting their best foot forward this summer as the UEFA Euro 2024 takes place in Germany, in the biggest soccer tournament on the continent.
Current holders Italy will look to defend the crown they won in England back in 2021, but they will have stiff competition from the likes of France, England, Portugal, and hosts Germany which has seen the Azzurri not even in the top five favorites for the competition.

England - (+300)
It's been a very long time coming, but England are the favorites to win an international tournament - and rightly so.
Led by manager Gareth Southgate and captain Harry Kane, the Three Lions reached the final of the European Championships back in 2021, losing on home soil in the final to Italy in a penalty shootout. On either side of that they reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2018, losing in extra-time to eventual runners-up Croatia, and the quarter-final in 2022 in Qatar where they lost to eventual runners-up France.
But the generation of players they have this time around is arguably the strongest they have ever had with the likes of Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Bukayo Saka coming off fantastic personal campaigns.

France has been one of the most impressive national teams of this generation having reached the final of Euro 2016, won the 2018 World Cup, and then reached the final at the 2022 World Cup.
Coached by Didier Deschamps, a former World Cup and European Championships winner as a player, and led by arguably the world's best player Kylian Mbappe in attack, they have got one of the most stacked 26-man squads in the tournament and they know exactly how to win games.
There is plenty of depth in their selection, and they have a group of talent that has been hugely successful at club level too with the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Ousmane Dembele, and William Saliba.
Their route to the final should see them as clear favorites in every game until the semi-final stage where they could potentially face England, but their record is excellent against them too.
At +400, the value is excellent for proven winners to win again.
Germany - (+550)
Julien Nagelsmann has taken over a struggling German national team and has been flying ever since, which has made the host nation a top candidate to come out on top and earn success.
The former Bayern Munich boss has called up an experienced squad, convincing Toni Kroos to come out of international retirement for one last tournament before he retires from the sport for good at all levels, while also bringing in Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer in the process.
But some experienced players like Leon Goretzka have been left out, with the young coach adamant that he wants to play a specific style that suits attacking football and pace - which is usually a positive at international level.
With home advantage and plenty of winners in the squad, they have a great chance of causing an upset, because nobody has really been tipping them to shine having hugely underperformed in recent tournaments.
At +550 for the team who will have home advantage in every game, as well as the fact no nation has ever won this tournament more, it's definitely worth a look.

Portugal - (+800)
Portugal have become one of the heavyweights of European football in recent years despite being a minnow of a nation, and that largely comes down to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play the game, the now 39-year-old striker has got more caps and international goals than anyone in the history of the game and he is still going strong having scored a record-breaking 35 goals in the Saudi Arabian league this season.
But he now has an incredible supporting cast too consisting of top stars such as Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Rafael Leao, Ruben Dias, and Nuno Mendes.
Former Belgium manager Roberto Martinez is the man in charge having failed to win anything with their "Golden Generation", but the qualifying process was almost perfect as they won all ten fixtures and conceded just two goals in the process.
Ronaldo helped the team win their first international trophy ever back in 2016 but was forced off injured in the final. This would be the ultimate redemption arc for a legendary career and would be the perfect way for him to round it off by leading them to another win.
