Euro 2016 Quarterfinal Betting Pick
Euro 2016 Portugal (+120) vs Poland (+280) Match Prediction
By Sam Shan
One of the biggest disappointments of Euro 2016 has been some of the big names not really turning up. This quarter final match involves two of those big names. For Poland we have Robert Lewandowski who has been very flat throughout the tournament and, other than a penalty goal in the round of 16, is yet to score.
For Portugal we have Cristiano Ronaldo who has also been very quiet compared to his usual very high standards. He did, however, score twice in the the thrilling 3-3 tie with Hungary, but almost everyone will have expected more form him throughout the tournament.
They're both world class players who have the ability to turn a game in a moment. It would not be a surprise to see either or both of them show their class in the business end of the tournament.
Poland have been largely ineffective going forward but are very solid at the back and, despite Portugal having a plethora of attacking options, they too have been largely unimpressive going forward. This all leads to an excellent bet on under 2.5 goals in the match, which is currently priced at (-215).
For a safer option, try Poland double chance at -150. Portugal are coming into the game as pretty big favorites, but undeservedly so. The sportsbooks will not accept they are a poor international side with no chemistry in the team. But we know better.
If you are looking for some more speculative bets then this game has a great chance to go all the way to penalties or extra time, so consider backing those results for some great returns.
