F1 Futures Picks Updated
Historically, the Formula 1 odds have featured epic two-driver battles for the world driving championship. In recent seasons, Ayrton Senna vs Michael Schumacher gave way to Schumacher vs Fernando Alonso. That was followed by Alonso vs Sebastian Vettel. Today, there's a new dueling duo. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and Max Verstappen of Red Bull Honda are going wheel to wheel for the world title and right now, it's anybody's race.
- Red Bull's Max Verstappen is the odds-on -200 favorite to win the 2021 Formula 1 world driving title
- Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton is the +150 second betting choice
- Red Bull Honda is also the -200 chalk to earn the 2021 constructors' championship
Mercedes has ruled over Formula 1 with an iron fist on the wheel and a lead foot on the gas pedal. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has won the past four world driving titles. In terms of the constructor's championship, Mercedes has been the winner in seven successive years.

If both Mercedes and Hamilton want those streaks to continue, they've got some work to do. As the world's fastest motorsport nears its midseason break following the August 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, its the Hondas of Red Bull that are atop the table and favored in the Formula 1 odds.
Red Bull leads the constructor's championship standings 289-285 over Mercedes after 10 races. Red Bull's Max Verstappen holds an eight-point advantage over Hamilton in the world driving championship standings.
Driver | |||
---|---|---|---|
Max Verstappen | -200 | -200 | -200 |
Lewis Hamilton | +150 | +150 | +150 |
Valtteri Bottas | +10000 | +10000 | +10000 |
Sergio Perez | +10000 | +10000 | +10000 |
Verstappen is the -200 favorite in the F1 odds to win the world driving title. Likewise, Red Bull is the -200 chalk in the Formula 1 picks to capture the constructor's championship.
It truly is proving to be a generational battle. Hamilton, 35, shares the all-time lead in F1 driving titles with seven. Verstappen, the youngest driver ever to compete in Formula One when he raced in the 2015 Australian Grand Prix at the age of 17, is seeking his first world championship.
Verstappen 2021 Predictions
In recent years, Verstappen has proven to be one of the few drivers able to compete with the mighty Mercedes of Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. This season, he's proven capable of showing them the back of his rear tires.

The Belgian-born Dutch-based driver has won five of the 10 races so far on the 2021 schedule. Verstappen has finished second in three other events. Verstappen's consistency is impressive. He's claimed championship points from all 10 race weekends so far in 2021.
Hamilton 2021 Betting Picks
Hamilton is accustomed to being the one chased. He isn't used to doing the chasing. The British driving legend has proven to be the one to go within the Formula 1 picks for most of the past decade. He's won six of the past seven world driving titles.

In 2021, Hamilton has spent the first half of the year hunting Verstappen. He's won four races this season but just one of the past six events. Hamilton touched off controversy at the British Grand Prix, F1's most recent race. He wrecked Verstappen en route to victory, forcing the latter to retire from the race and settle for an 18th-place finish.
Picks for the 2021 Constructor's Championship
Mercedes and Red Bull have combined to dominate the Formula 1 Vegas odds in the constructor's championship. Together they've won the past 11 titles. That streak won't be ending. However, the seven-year reign by Mercedes could be in jeopardy. Red Bull's most recent crown was donned in 2013.

It certainly is a fascinating race. Mercedes won three of the season's first four races. Red Bull has won three of the past four races. The Red Bull cars have proven to be better on the high-downforce circuits this year, although there were indications in the last race at Silverstone that Mercedes is closing that gap.
