MotoGP 2024 World Championship favorites
Below you'll find a list of the favorites to win the 2024 MotoGP World Championship.
Francesco Bagnaia - (+175)
Last year Bagnaia, who rides for Ducati Lenovo, picked up seven wins en route to his second world title in three years, and that's why he's a major favorite heading into the 2024 season.
However, he faded a bit in the second half of the season, winning two races of the last 10 of the season. However, he did have four second-place finishes and two thirds during that time also which shows how much is expected from him.
Bagnaia finished 16 grand prix races last year and made the podium in all but one of those races. He finished 16th in the second grand prix of the year. It would be a real shock for him to not be contending for the championship once again.
The Italian is our pick for the 2024 MotoGP season. His meteoric rise to the top, marked by back-to-back championships, showcases a blend of raw talent and strategic acumen rarely seen in such a young rider. Bagnaia’s ability to dominate on varied tracks mean he’s not just a rider to watch; he’s the one to beat.
Having capped off a remarkable 2023 season with an impressive tally of 467 points, Bagnaia has firmly established himself as an athlete at the peak of his prowess. His knack for maintaining composure in high-pressure situations and consistently delivering top-tier performances cements his position as a prime contender for a third consecutive title.

Marc Marquez - (+186)
After 11 years with Honda and six world championships, the 30-year-old Marc Marquez has a new team, riding a Ducati for Gresini Racing.
Marquez was dominant between 2013 and 2019, winning six world titles and placing third in 2015, the only year during that stretch when he failed to win the world championship. But since that last world title he has won just three races in three years, and none since 2021.
While the Ducati will make Marquez a much more competitive racer on the track, there are concerns about him making it to race day. Marquez has missed significant time in the past few MotoGP seasons because of injuries and that will no doubt effect his chances of world championship number seven.
If anyone is going to stop Bagnaia it will be the experienced pro, but it still won't be easy for him even if he's back to his best.

Jorge Martin - (+400)
The 26-year-old Jorge Martin has only been racing on the MotoGP circuit for three years, yet he has already established himself as one of the best riders on the grid.
He opened his MotoGP career in 2021 by finishing ninth. He stayed in that same spot in 2022, but he broke through last year and placed second, making a run for the title at the same time Francesco Bagnaia found himself struggling.
Martin rides a Ducati for Prima Pramac Racing. A fast rider, Martin started every grand prix in 2023, but he had four races that he did not finish. If he can keep up his speed and reduce the number of crashes he has in 2024, Martin could be a dark horse for championship contention.
At +400 he presents an intriguing option. His near-miss in the 2023 season and impressive performances throughout make him a tempting pick for bettors looking for value. Martin’s aggressive style and hunger for his maiden title add an unpredictable element, which could bring big rewards for anyone willing to take the risk.
There's no doubting that Bagnaia and Marquez are much safer bets for the title, but there is solid value in taking Martin at this price and he could well have his big breakthrough year in 2024 and make himself a household name.

Brad Binder - (+1525)
Brad Binder, placed fourth overall in the 2023 standings and yet is still priced at a huge +1525 ahead of the season opener.
His consistent top-tier finishes and ability to challenge the podium positions make him a great outside investment, especially since he has a great knack for capitalizing on in-race moments and adapting well.
Couple all of that with his upward trajectory and it positions him as a strong contender to be the dark horse in the title race, although you're probably better off just backing him to win certain races instead of going all the way.
