A first-ever championship for Georgia two seasons ago set a cat amongst the pigeons and was monumental for a sport that has been dominated by a small number of FBS teams in the past, and then they went back-to-back last year with a huge 65-7 win over TCU in the Championship game.

We’ll take a look ahead to the upcoming season and pick out our favorites to win the championship in 2023 to see if we can earn you some extra cash by the end of it.

NCAAF Championship favorites

Below you'll find a list of favorites to win the NCAAF Championship for the 2023/24 season.

Georgia Bulldogs - (+240)

Georgia has won back-to-back national championships and is the favorite to win a third straight College Football National Championship. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, even despite massive losses on both sides of the ball again following the NFL draft.

The Bulldogs’ defense has been the best in the country for the last two seasons with a season record of 29-1, and despite everyone expecting a drop-off they keep finding a way to strengthen and maintain their quality.

Stetson Bennett is gone and competition between blue-chip recruits Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff - who are both considered candidates to win the Heisman trophy — will be rife.

Nobody has won three in a row in the modern era, but Georgia genuinely have a terrific chance of doing that.

Are the new crop of Georgia defenders as good as their options over the last two years? I’d guess they are, and we will see the same stringent Georgia defense that will make them contenders once more.

On offense, they must replace Todd Monkin as the offensive coordinator. On paper, new QB Carson Beck is more talented than Bennett, which could give them an upgrade at the position after two straight titles. Georgia’s schedule is a cakewalk, and their toughest game will likely be the SEC championship game.

With a winning mentality to with it and a chance of making history, backing them is certainly not the worst decision in you could make.

Ohio State Buckeyes - (+750)

It’s a bit of a surprise to see Ohio State listed this high after two straight seasons without a Big Ten Championship and their own struggles.

Even so, the Buckeyes snuck into the playoff last year and gave Georgia all they could handle in the semifinals to give people an inkling that they could be on their way back to their best.

Kyle McCord will be tasked with replacing C.J. Stroud at quarterback, and he’ll return one of the best wideouts in the nation in Marvin Harrison Jr.

The Buckeyes are led by the most explosive, exciting, and NFL-ready wide receiver in the college game and he is many people's favorite to to win the Heisman Trophy.

Like Alabama and Georgia, Ohio State has proven it can reload. Whoever starts at quarterback this season will have a loaded roster, with seven of the Buckeyes’ 12 returning starters are on the offensive side of the ball.

Ohio State has as good a chance as anyone to win the National Championship and there is tremendous value on backing them now rather than after the season begins.

Michigan Wolverines - (+920)

Michigan haven't won a national championship since 1997, but their roster looks almost as strong as ever and they're ready to make a push in 2023/24.

They’ll return starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy, star running back Blake Corum, and Donovan Edwards. The offensive line lost two starters but will return everyone else and three Power-5-level transfers were also added.

The defense was top 10 by nearly all metrics last season but lost key starters from one of the best defensive lines in the country. If they can replace them the way they did the previous summer, then they're seriously in the race.

Jim Harbaugh's style of smash-mouth football has bee excellent since he came in and the team looks to be in it's best shape i years.

Michigan’s Blue-Chip ratio is well below that of Georgia, Clemson, or even Alabama, but they have a formula that wins games. They beat people up at the line of scrimmage and mostly do not make mistakes.

McCarthy is talented at quarterback, Corum returns at running back, and the offensive line is loaded with talent.

While the veteran defense still needs to find that consistent pass rush they saw with Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo, the talent will be excellent again and if they manage to click they'll be very hard to beat.

Getting to the playoffs will be easy enough considering their schedule for the upcoming season, and once they're there they'll be able to give everyone a game and you can't rule them out. At this price, they're a fantastic value bet.
