- What: 2024 Wimbledon tournament
- When: Now through the final on July 13
- Where: London, England
- How to watch: ESPN and WatchESPN
The stage has been set over in London, England, as tennis fans from all over the world have made their way to the lovely city for Wimbledon. With the main rounds right around the corner, there are several men and women in the field who are dreaming of winning the title. So, with that said, who will come out on top? For the men, Jannik Sinner is the favorite to win Wimbledon 2024. Does he have what it takes to capture the glory?
Sinner has been on a tear of late and there's a good reason why he has the top odds. He's one of the best tennis players on the planet and he's been reminding everyone of that this year. Sinner is also entering the tournament with a ton of confidence, which is bad news for the rest of the field. Having said that, Sinner himself knows that things aren't going to be easy for him and there's a tall mountain to climb from start to finish at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon odds | |||
---|---|---|---|
Sinner to win | +200 | +200 | +200 |
Alcaraz to win | +225 | +225 | +225 |
Djokovic to win | +300 | +300 | +300 |
Zverev to win | +1500 | +1500 | +1500 |
βHe played really well. He was serving well, I missed a couple of shots. First-round matches, they are never easy,β Sinner said after his first-round win. βIβm happy to be through and hopefully in the next round, I can raise my level. This is a grass court and sometimes you cannot control everything."
According to the best online sports betting sites, which includes the reliable Bovada sports betting review, Sinner holds +200 tennis betting odds to win the tournament. Right behind him is Carlos Alcaraz at +225. Plenty of experts are hopeful that these two will end up meeting in the final, which would be great to see. Sinner has a lot of people thinking he's going to win it all this summer, but we don't think that's going to end up happening.

Carlos Alcaraz is our pick to win Wimbledon this month
That's right, Carlos Alcaraz is our pick to win Wimbledon this month. Just like Sinner, Alcaraz is considered one of the best tennis players out there and he has a lot of people in his corner. Come Friday, Alcaraz will have an intriguing matchup in the third round against Francis Tiafoe, which is a showdown that a lot of people are looking forward to. Alcaraz should take care of business, though, and then make his way to the next round. It'd be a bit of a surprise if he didn't.
Keep in mind that Alcaraz is the reigning champion, as he won the tournament last July. It was an unreal run for him and one that he said meant the world to him. Now, Alcaraz is hoping to defend his title, but he knows that Sinner and others are going to do everything possible to make sure that doesn't happen. The hope is that Alcaraz will find a way to get things done, but only time will tell if that happens or not.
Carlos Alcaraz being Carlos Alcaraz.
Full stretch backhand with one hand on the racquet.
So far off the court you canβt even see him.
Perfectly placed winner right in the corner.

βIn the final game at Roland Garros (the French Open) this month, I was shaking. The same is true at the Wimbledon final last year. My legs, my hands. It is a difficult moment and you have to trust yourself,β Alcaraz said in a recent interview leading up to his quest for a repeat.
Per the oddsmakers, which includes the BetOnline sports betting review, Alcaraz indeed holds +220 odds to repeat as the champion. A lot of people think Sinner will be the one to lift the silverware, but we're sticking to our guns here in going with Alcaraz as the champ. It will be interesting to see if that happens or not, but we're sure that Alcaraz has what it takes to make it back-to-back title wins at Wimbledon.
Coco Gauff is a small favorite on the women's side
Elsewhere, Coco Gauff is a small favorite on the women's side. This isn't a surprise at all, as Gauff is a premier talent. She's been quite impressive thus far and the hope is that she'll be able to go on a deep run in the tournament and eventually win it. She's not the only one with strong odds, though, as Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina, Emma Raducanu, Ons Jabeur and Madison Keys are all in contention too.
With that said, plenty of people think this could come down to Gauff and Swiatek. Both are riding high right now and they have what it takes to push for the title as well. Should they end up facing off in the tournament, it will easily be a great match for people all over the world to watch. Gauff would love to make a statement, but the same could be said about Swiatek. With all of that said, we think Gauff will be the one to win the title. We're no question going with her as our pick in this case.
