Kansas City Chiefs season so far
The Chiefs came into the new season as the overwhelming favorites for many to win the championship having won each of the last two Super Bowls, and they haven't let anyone down with their performances.
Kansas City started the season with a remarkable 10-0 run which saw their defense proven to once again be among the very best, as they only allowed more than 20 points on two occasions. That run didn't come without a bit of good fortune though, and that ran out when they fell to the Buffalo Bills in Week 11 in a 30-21 defeat on the road.
The Chiefs responded to that perfectly however, going on another six-game winning run to claim their spot as No.1 seed. A 38-0 final day defeat to the Denver Broncos was humiliating but irrelevant as Patrick Mahomes sat out and switched into playoff mode.
Kansas then took on the Houston Texans in their playoff game and cruised to what looked like a routine 23-14 win, although a huge fourth quarter and some questionable referee calls helped them to keep their historic run on track. The Chiefs then got revenge on Buffalo for their regular season defeat, claiming a late 32-29 win late on to claim a third consecutive AFC Championship and a shot at history in Louisiana.

Philadelphia Eagles season so far
After their initial Super Bowl appearance in 2023 many have considered Philadelphia to be one of the most complete teams in the league, and they have recovered from a disappointing 2023/24 season this time around.
A slow start saw them open the campaign 2-2 before a bye week, and after that they clicked into gear with ten straight wins and 12 wins from their next 13 games to win the NFC East.
The Green Bay Packers were their next opponents in the Wild Card round, where a top defensive performance saw them not concede a single point in the first half en route to earning a 22-10 victory and really set them up for glory.
That set up a clash with the Los Angeles Rams and it took a late sack from Jalen Carter to prevent a last-minute touchdown against them, securing them a 28-22 win and a spot in the NFC Championship game.
There they took on an overachieving Washington Commanders team and put on a show with a dominant display that saw them cruise to a 55-23 win, hitting double-figure points in three of the four quarters. They will now be looking for revenge from 2023 and their first Super Bowl title since 2018 - their only ever win on the big stage.
NFL Picks: Kansas City Chiefs moneyline @ -128
When these two teams met in the 2023 Super Bowl, Kansas were overpowered for much of the game before their star man Mahomes just locked in and took the game away from them in the fourth quarter. After their regular season defeat to the Bills, many people were expecting the Chiefs to fall again since nobody has ever won three-in-a-row. Once again, they proved everyone wrong.
While the Eagles have undoubtedly improved their running game in those two years since, winning the only other meeting between the sides in that time, they still have some issues that the Chiefs are well equipped to take advantage of.
Head coach Andy Reid is undoubtedly one of the all-time greats, recently becoming just the fourth NFL coach in history to reach 300 wins. They also have Mahomes and despite how good Jalen Hurts has been this season, it gives Kansas City the advantage on and off the field. They will also have the psychological advantage of having been here so regularly and often in recent years, and beating this Philadelphia game just two years ago.
The spread being at -2 is obviously very tempting too, but considering the stakes at play taking the Chiefs on the moneyline at this price is just as good value and that's our pick.

NFL Picks: Under 49.5 total match points @ -110
Philadelphia are one of the best and most exciting NFL teams around, and they know how to score points on a regular basis. The Eagles have scored 30+ points seven times this season and have conceded 20+ eight times, so there is scope even if the line moves that the over lands.
But while that is the case, the Chiefs just know how to keep games tight and make every play matter. In fact, they have won the last 17 games in a row that have had just one score separating the teams. So while the Eagles will be looking to score big, the Chiefs will do everything they can to keep up with them, or more likely, stop them entirely.
The Eagles have seen seven separate games hit the 50-point mark this season, while Kansas City have seen five hit the mark. The line could move up as a result, so take the Under while it's at less than 50 points while you can.
