Lightning vs Panthers: Playoff Atmosphere For All Florida Fight
Bolts are still aiming for Eastern Conference title
Three points behind the Rangers, who have two games in hand, Tampa Bay is still eyeing the Eastern Conference title. While winning the East is a long shot, the Lightning can still catch Montreal for first in the Atlantic Division as they are one point back with equal games played. Tampa needs to get things in gear as they have posted a 1-3-1 recent record. That includes a 2-1 OT loss to Ottawa on Thursday and the 3-1 loss to the lowly Leafs prior to that.
Florida Panthers: Cats Cinderella season is about to sink in the East
Give the Panthers credit as no one expected they would be fighting for a playoff position when the season started. The last hope is about to be snuffed out however as any win by Boston and Detroit will send Florida to the sidelines. The Panthers have been clawing with a 6-4-1 recent mark and they just crushed Carolina 6-1 to open their season ending five game home stand. Florida is looking to avenge a disappointing 4-3 loss in Tampa Bay eleven days ago.
Lightning vs Panthers Prediction: Florida has had a rough go against Tampa Bay as the Lightning have won 13 of the past 16 meetings. That said, the Panthers did pull out a 4-3 win when these teams last met at the BB&T Center back on March 1, 2015. Prior to that contest the Lightning had won six straight in Sunrise. We are backing the Bolts with a 300 unit wager on the money line price posted at the SportsBetting.ag online sportsbook.
