Match Day 31 Premier League Betting Tips

Match Day 31 Premier League Betting Tips

Teams To Back In The Premier League

By Matt Pitt

Swansea City (+390) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (-150)

Swansea

Swansea City have the unenvious task of hosting Tottenham Hotspur, knowing an unfavorable result could drop them into the relegation zone. Spurs have the opportunity to close the gap at the summit to only four points.

Swansea have struggled all season due to their league's worst defensive record. The Swans have conceded 63 goals in 30 league games and have only managed to record five shutouts.

Correct score

Fans of the Welsh outfit must be concerned about the prospect of playing in the Championship next season as they are only above Hull City by a single point.

Tottenham, in scintillating form, are the best side in the league over the past six games thanks to five wins and one defeat. Spurs have the best defense, with only 21 goals conceded and 13 clean sheets, and the fourth best attack.

That attack, however, is without Harry Kane while Harry Winks and Victor Wanyama might both miss out through injury.

Despite being depleted by injuries, Spurs have enough quality in depth to brush aside Swansea. And the fact they can go within four points of leaders Chelsea will be enough motivation to see them return to London with all three points.

Pick: Tottenham to win at -150

Manchester United (-205) vs. Everton (+575)

Ibrahimovic

Manchester United are locked in a battle for fourth place and have a great chance to edge closer to securing the coveted position when they entertain Everton at Old Trafford.

With Manchester City, the current fourth-placed side, away to Chelsea, United know they must beat Everton as this is the perfect opportunity to draw closer to their local rivals.

United were held to a 0-0 draw by West Bromwich Albion at the weekend despite enjoying 75 percent possession and 18 shots on goal. Only three of those shots needed to be saved, however, a common theme when United are at home this season.

United have only scored 20 goals in 15 games at Old Trafford, ranking them 14th from 20 Premier League teams. Despite a lack of goals, United are unbeaten at home in 13 games and 19 league games overall.

United margin

Everton are without a win in four away games and are seeing fourth place, and a UEFA Champions League berth, slip away. Ronald Koeman’s men have been struggling for form and injuries to Ramiro Funes Mori, Morgan Schneiderlin, James McCarthy, Tannick Bolasie and Seamus Coleman will not help matters.

United won this fixture 1-0 last season, 2-1 in 2014-15 with Everton turning them over at Old Trafford in 2013-14 .

United should have enough to win this game, especially with Zlatan Ibrahimovic available for selection again, but it could be a close encounter. With that in mind, I’m opting for the Red Devils to win by exactly one goal at +250.

Pick: Manchester United to win by 1 goal at +250
