Formula 1 is back for the 22nd race of the 2024 season in Las Vegas, Nevada as the race for the world championship continues to heat up between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris in particular.
While the Briton has gone from strength to strength and continues to stay on the chase for his first title, the current three-time world champion had an excellent start to his season before struggling in recent months before finally getting a big win in Brazil last time out.

Max Verstappen - (+240)
After ten races without a victory, Verstappen finally ended that run in Sao Paulo when he came from a 17th place start to win the Grand Prix in torrential rain in an incident-filled race to move 62 points clear of his closest contender.
Red Bull's season got derailed after they botched an upgrade where the car became more difficult to drive despite the wind tunnel telling them it would be faster, and it has allowed other teams into the title race for both the Drivers' and Constructors' championships.
2023 saw the first edition of this race and it was of course Verstappen who got the win, finishing two seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc. He was already the world champion for the season at that point, and he will know that if he wins the race this year he will be crowned champion for a fourth consecutive season - a feat only ever matched by Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
The track suits Verstappen and Red Bull down to the ground and with the added motivation of being crowned world champion again, expect them to pull out all the stops to get it done. At +240, this is terrific value and is easily the best bet of the weekend.

Lando Norris - (+240)
Norris has really found his groove in recent times and it's not a shock that he is pushing to claim his first-ever Drivers' Championship in Formula 1, but he was hugely let down by his team in Sao Paulo.
With pouring wet rain conditions he was hauled into the pit to change his tyres, only for a red flag to be called and allow everyone to surpass him and change tyres for free. Norris now knows it will be very difficult to win the championship, as he must outscore Verstappen by at least three points in this race to keep his hopes alive. Winning may be his best chance of success, so he will have to go all out.
Last year in Vegas things didn't go well as he was forced to retire after just two laps due to an accident. But he has come on leaps and bounds in the last 12 months and is a much better driver now. If he can get the lead in qualifying, he will have a great chance because it's such a tight circuit. That's a big ask though and with his odds the same as Verstappen's, they just seem too short considering the circumstances.
Charles Leclerc - (+300)
Ferrari have had a very mixed season so far, but once again Leclerc is proving to be a top driver after claiming a dominant victory in the USA Grand Prix for his third of the season.
With Lewis Hamilton set to join as his teammate next season, the Monaco-native has been in decent form in recent races. He claimed the win in the Italian Grand Prix, which was his second win of the season after winning in his home country, and six of his last eight races have seen him finish in the podium places.
Last week in Sao Paulo Leclerc struggled to get any momentum throughout the race and finished fifth, ending his hopes of championship success for another year. But he will still want to finish strong, and last year in Vegas he earned an overtake on the last lap to claim the runners-up spot. Going one step further this time around would help him solidify his spot as the number-one driver for next season.
Unfortunately for anyone thinking about backing him to do it, the odds aren't great. +300 is usually a decent line, but with Verstappen a clear favorite considering the circumstances being priced at +240 there isn't enough value in backing Leclerc early on before the race.
