"The problem for me is mainly the time difference between Vegas and Qatar," Verstappen said of all the travel he and his team have had to go through in recent weeks. "If we do triple-headers, we have to make sure that they are a bit closer together. That would make more sense to me."

Lando Norris the favorite to win the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix
While yes, a lot of people are ready to see what Verstappen can do, keep in mind that Lando Norris is the favorite to win the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix. It has also been a tremendous year for Norris, as he's proving to be among the best drivers in the sport. It if weren't for Verstappen, we'd surely rock with Norris as our main Qatar pick. However, we're sticking to our guns with Verstappen to win it.
With that said, we also wouldn't be surprised at all if Norris were to finish first across the finish line. Norris has posted some head-turning wins throughout his career and now he's hoping to do the same in Qatar. What makes this race too is that Norris and Verstappen have a ton of respect for one another. There's a bit of a rivalry here, but it's not a toxic one at all. If anything, Norris is using Verstappen as motivation already for 2025.

"When he's had the quickest car, he dominated races," Norris said on Verstappen's title-winning 2024. "When he's not in the quickest car, he's still been just behind us and almost winning the races anyway. So he's just not had a bad side to him. He's not had any bad races the whole year. You know, his worst was like a fifth or something. He just drove as Max has always driven, which is perfectly. Can't fault him anywhere."
