Conor McGregor, a reigning UFC champion, will step into the ring for the first time against Floyd Mayweather, widely considered to be one of the greatest boxers of all time. It’s scheduled to be a 12-round boxing-only contest using eight-ounce gloves, which is twice the weight McGregor is used to carrying.
The confident fighters are both predicting first-round knockouts of their opponents.
When the fight was first announced, the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook posted Mayweather as a -2500 favourite and McGregor as a +1100 underdog. According to the latest odds at bovada.lv, Mayweather has fallen to -450 with McGregor at +325. Bettors obviously love McGregor’s chances to move the line this much. According to ESPN.com, one book could lose $3 million if McGregor pulls off the upset. Let’s take a look at some of the bets with the latest odds.

McGregor's improbable challenge of Mayweather could be seen by a staggering 50 million people in the U.S. as fans and onlookers gather in small and large parties. The Super Bowl typically draws more than 110 million viewers in the U.S., but viewers don’t have to pay to watch the football spectacle. The fight will also be seen by millions more worldwide, with promoters claiming it will be available either online or on a TV screen to more than one billion homes in 200 different countries.
Though estimates vary widely, Mayweather is expected to make $200 million, while McGregor will likely add at least $100 million to his bank account. This is the sporting event of the summer. It has taken social media by storm.

This is the second game of a three-game series when the Mariners take to the field against the Yankees on Saturday afternoon. Seattle, which is a few games behind New York in the American League wild card race, sends Yovani Gallardo (5-9, ERA 5.75) to the mound. He will face Sonny Gray (7-8, 3.38 ERA).
