Minnesota vs Washington: Wild Duel Capitals in The District
Minnesota is going Wild in the Western Conference
Sitting seven points out of a playoff position on January 28, no team has been hotter than Minnesota recently. The Wild have posted a 14-2-1 record over their last 17 games and have employed a nice mix of offense and defense in the process. Close game or blowouts, Minnesota has been winning them all as they have outscored their opponents by a 51-26 margin and have four shutouts during their hot streak. Minnesota is one point behind Winnipeg, with two games in hand, in the West Wild Card race.
Washington Capitals: Hot on the Penguins tail in the Metropolitan Division
Not quite as hot as the Wild, Washington is making a strong playoff push as well. The Capitals opened March with two wins and have posted a 10-6 record since the start of February. Caps Captain and NHL goal scoring leader Alex Ovechkin is dealing with a "lower body" injury and did not take part in the morning skate - he is a game-time decision tonight. The Caps trail Pittsburgh by one point for third and they are four back of the Rangers and Islanders for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.
Wild vs Capitals Call: There's not a lot separating Minnesota and Washington statically and we expect a close contest in the District tonight. Being as such, we are taking the pucks and backing the Wild. Give us Minnesota with a 400 until wager on the spread price posted on the Sportsbook.ag betting board.
