This season's beaten finalists, the Astros have proven to themselves and the rest of the world that they are still in and around the best teams in baseball. There was plenty of controversy heading into last season, but it should be clear for them this year which means they could have the capacity to go one step further this time around. At +1400, they have huge value.

The reigning champions of 2021, the Braves are the third favorites to retain their title. They weren't the favorites to win the title until they won game one of the finals, but with a solid core of young talent and Ronald Acuna set to return there's nothing to suggest that they couldn't do it again next year.
New York Yankees (+1400)
As expected, the biggest franchise in the sport is among the top five favorites to claim yet another World Series title this year. They struggled to put it all together last season, falling to the Red Sox in the Wildcard game, but they will be hopeful of seeing a big improvement come 2022.
Chicago White Sox (+1200)
World Series last season in their first campaign under Tony La Russa, but they fell way short of expectations. The pressure has risen now and expectations have grown with such a talented young core, so they are among the top five favorites once again.

Another team that is in their transitional period, the Tigers were ahead of their plan at times during the last season and have the capabilities to continue their progress in 2022.
