NFL 2014 Regular Season Win Total Prop Betting at Bovada

Chicago: 8.5 is a lock if Bears find some defense

Bovada bookmakers have Chicago posted with an 8.5 (O -150 U +120) win total during the 2014 NFL season. That number is based largely on the fact that the Bears posted a dismal -33 scoring differential as the defense gave up a smidgen under 30 PPG last season. Though their Week 3 preseason game, a 34-6 blowout loss to Seattle, is a slight concern - Chicago has a middle of the road Strength of Schedule and we see a nine or ten win season on the horizon in the Windy City.

Prediction: OVER 8.5 wins.

New York Jets: Gang Green remains mostly grounded in the Big Apple

Try as we might, we are having a difficult time finding seven wins on the New York Jets 2014 NFL schedule. We can see five, possibly six, but the seventh victory will be very elusive. The Jets Over/Under season win total price at Bovada is 7 (O -140 U +110). As they have been since their somewhat surprising playoff runs during the 2009 and 2010 NFL seasons, Gang Green is a work in progress with more questions than answers. A repeat of their 6-10 mark in 2012 looks about right.

Prediction: Under 7 wins.
