After he was able to win Gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics, it's time to see what Novak Djokovic is going to be able to do for an encore. The Serbian talent impressed so many people after he was able to defeat Carlos Alcaraz in the final, but now he's going to hope to bring in some more good news in the coming days. That's because Novak Djokovic is favored to win the Cincinnati Masters this year. Will he get the job done?
Loads of tennis fans can't wait to find out, as there's a loaded field for this tournament. Keep in mind that Djokovic was able to win last summer, so now he's hoping to do the same once again. There are plenty of players who are hoping to prevent him from making that happen. Still, Djokovic is riding high from what he got done in France and there are plenty of analysts who think more glory will be on the way for him.

“I thought carrying the flag at the opening ceremony for my country at the 2012 Olympics was the best feeling an athlete could have until today," Djokovic said shortly after winning it all in France. "Now at the age of 37 and facing a 21-year-old who is probably the best player in the world right now, winning Roland Garros and Wimbledon back-to-back, I can say that this is probably the biggest sporting success I have ever had.”
Per the top sports betting sites, which includes the reliable Bovada sports betting review, Djokovic holds +200 tennis betting odds to win the Cincinnati Masters. These are pretty impressive odds and it shows that he has what it takes to lift the trophy high into the sky next weekend. However, with so many other top-ranked players making their way to the courts, we're thinking that someone else will finish at the top when the tournament is all said and done.

Jannik Sinner is our pick to win the Cincinnati Masters
Call it a gut feeling, but Jannik Sinner is our pick to win the Cincinnati Masters. Sinner remains the No. 1 ranked player in the world and for good reason. He has won plenty of tournaments in recent memory, which includes major titles. He's going to want to remind everyone of how strong he can be with the 2024 U.S. Open right around the corner. How could he do that? By taking the top spot in Cincinnati.
Sinner has proven that when he's at the top of his game, he's quite difficult to stop. Sure, there have been some upset losses that have been recorded, but that happens with any tremendous superstar of Sinner's caliber. You think he's the only one who has posted a stunning defeat? Nope, not a chance. Over in Cincinnati, Sinner is going to be ready to make some noise and make a statement early on in the tourney. While he's No. 1 in the world, he knows there's still more work to be done.

"It's just a different number," Sinner said via an ATP interview. "My team and I try to make the process, our daily routine, the best it can be and be prepared for any challenge that comes our way. I'm very happy to be back here. Last year I arrived after making the Wimbledon semifinals and won my first Masters 1000 here. I've been very consistent throughout this year, and that's what we'll try to continue doing in the coming months."
Per the online sports betting bookmakers, Sinner holds +325 betting odds to win the Cincinnati Masters. This isn't too far behind what's posted for Djokovic. It would be a ton of fun to see these two play in the final, as they're easily among the best in the game. It will be interesting to see if Sinner will be able to grab the title or not, but we think he has what it takes to do so. We're indeed going with him as our pick.
Carlos Alcaraz is looking for revenge on Novak Djokovic
While we're going with Sinner as our pick, remember that Carlos Alcaraz is looking for revenge on Novak Djokovic. These two met with the gold medal on the line at the Olympics not long ago. Djokovic came out on top and Alcaraz was seen in tears shortly after the heartbreaking loss. No one can blame him at all for having that kind of reaction.
Now, though, Alcaraz would love nothing more than to try and win the Cincinnati Masters. It would not only get him over the heartbreak of losing in France, but it would also be massive with the U.S. Open sneaking up on us. While we do think Sinner will win it all, Alcaraz will be a player to watch in this tournament. It wouldn't be a stunner at all if he goes all the way.
