Betting on sports futures isn’t always peaches and gravy. In some instances, when things don’t play out exactly as planned, savvy bettors need to go into a scramble drill. While we are far from panic mode, since we will set up a guaranteed Super Bowl 50 return, we are a little stretched on the futures bet we started back on February 3, 2015. While we still like the Cats, let's take a look at what is needed to produce a promised profit once the dust settles on Super Bowl Sunday on February 7, 2016, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
Tuesday 26 January - 23:43 EST
Regular readers know that we have a penchant for futures betting. Today we look back on our futures prediction that features the NFC claiming the NFL Championship. Facing a big “risk vs reward” scenario, the risks being a Denver win or cover – the reward being a Carolina cover, we are going to reduce the risk and pump up the possible reward. If you have been following this futures wager - we suggest that you do the same prior to the Super Bowl 50 kickoff at 6:30 PM ET on February 7, 2016, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. We still like the Cats.
Sunday 24 January - 02:06 EST
One of our favorite days on the sports betting calendar is upon us as we are now just one sleep away from Championship Sunday in the National Football League. First up, at 3:00 PM ET, the Denver Broncos will host the New England Patriots in the AFC title game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Colorado. That’s followed by the Arizona Cardinals visiting the Carolina Panthers at 6:30 PM ET at Bank of America Stadium for the NFC crown. A berth in Super Bowl 50, at Levi's Stadium in two weeks, is on the line and both contests will play out on January 24, 2016. Anyone for a Pats vs Cats NFL Championship?

Ahead of what will be an epic NFL Championship Sunday, National Hockey League action is our focus here as the Vancouver Canucks visit the Boston Bruins tonight. Winners of three straight contests, The Bruins appear to have shaken off the post-holiday blues while the Canucks are looking to continue a successful, albeit long, east coast road trip. Puck drop for this NHL Western vs Eastern Conference clash is scheduled for 5:00 PM ET on January 21, 2016, at TD Garden Arena in Boston, MA. We like the Beantown Boys here.
Wednesday 20 January - 20:33 EST
A rematch of last year's Stanley Cup headlines the NHL's slate of games on Thursday night. Both teams come in on lengthy winning streaks, but only one can continue. Can Tampa Bay finally get some revenge or will the Chicago Blackhawks stretch the streak to an impressive thirteen?
Monday 18 January - 22:16 EST
After getting back on track, with a successful NFL playoff parlay prediction yesterday, we head over to the National Hockey League for today's free pick prediction. As the last of a light five game night at the Bovada sportsbook, San Jose hosts Ottawa at the Shark Tank. The Sharks are aiming for a six-pack of wins while the Senators have struggled somewhat so far in the New Year. Puck drop for this NHL Western vs Eastern Conference clash is scheduled for 10:30 PM ET on January 18, 2016, from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
