The final race on the 2018 Breeders' Cup World Championships opening day, the Juvenile is open to two-year-old colts who be will racing 1 1/16 miles on the Churchill Downs dirt track for a total purse of $2 million. The Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner is always tabbed as an early favorite for the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May.

The second 2018 Breeders' Cup World Championships race on Future Stars Friday, November 2, and the second of 14 Breeders' Cup races in all, the Juvenile Fillies Turf is open to two-year-old fillies racing one mile on the Churchill Downs turf course. The race carries a $1 million total purse and is restricted to 14 starters. Last year Rushing Fall won the race at odds of +300.

A brand-new race added to the 2018 Breeders' Cup World Championships, the Juvenile Turf Sprint will be the first of 14 Breeders' Cup races to be run at Churchill Downs the first weekend of November. The race is open to two-year-old colts and fillies, sprinting 5.5 furlongs on the Churchill turf course, and offers a total purse of $1 million.

As part of an excellent Saturday of stakes races, Woodbine Race Track in Toronto will play host to the $500,00 (G1) E.P. Taylor Stakes. Open to fillies and mares age three and older, they'll be running 1 1/4 miles on the Woodbine turf course. The race has drawn a strong contingent of European-based runners, with four in the field of nine making their first North American start.

In one of the last big weekends of graded-stakes racing for the season, Woodbine Race Track in Toronto will host a pair of international Grade 1 stakes on the turf. First up is the Pattison Canadian International, for horses aged three and older going 1 1/2 miles on the sweeping EP Taylor turf course. Eleven have drawn into the race, which offers a total purse of $800,000.
