It's hard to believe, but we've already reached the point in the golf season that The Masters is here. That's right, one of the best tournaments has arrived and Augusta, Georgia is packed with people ready to see people hit the links. With all of that said, Scottie Scheffler is our pick to win The Masters in 2025. Will he be able to get the job done?
At this point last year, people were fired up over what Scheffler was able to get done at Augusta National. That's right, he won the tournament last season and it was incredible to see. Now, Scheffler is focused on repeating as the champion, which isn't going to be easy to do. Scheffler knows the pressure is on, but he's also ready to remain focused.

"I really don't focus a lot on that stuff," says Scheffler. "I focus a lot on the preparation and getting ready to play in tournaments, and then I try to, while I'm playing, have a good attitude and approach the shots the right way. And that's what I define success as. When I think about getting ready for this week, when I step on the first tee on Thursday, I'm going to remind myself that I've done what I needed to do to play well."

There's a loaded field and things of course are going to be tough for the reigning title winner. Rory McIlroy is hoping to win The Masters for the first time
Yes, Scheffler is the one with the best odds, but don't forget for one second that Rory McIlroy is hoping to win The Masters for the first time. McIlroy has come close in the past, but this remains the only major that he has not been able to win. The Masters has eluded him thus far, but will he be able to make some history this time around? That's what he's hoping for.
"It's just narratives. It's noise," McIlroy said during a presser. "It's just trying to block out that noise as much as possible. I need to treat this tournament like all the other tournaments that I play throughout the year. Look, I understand the narrative and the noise, and there's a lot of anticipation and buildup coming into this tournament each and every year, but I just have to keep my head down and focus on my job."

In addition to Rahm, plenty of people are keen to see what Collin Morikawa can get done. Both him and Rahm are going to be fired up to shocking people, which very well could end up being on the way. Who knows how things will play out, though.
Starting on Thursday, there's going to be a ton of excitement and Scheffler/McIlroy will have to try and fend off the guys looking to take them down. Rahm and Morikawa will no question be two studs to keep an eye on. Don't be surprised if they are within a couple of strokes from Scheffler once the final round gets here on Sunday.
