UFC 265 Betting Predictions
- Ciryl Gane is a solid -330 favorite to defeat Derrick Lewis for the interim world heavyweight title in the main event at UFC 265
- Tecia Torres is the -140 betting choice to defeat Angela Hill in a woman's strawweight bout
- Veteran Jose Aldo is the -125 chalk in his bantamweight fight with Pedro Munhoz
The UFC 265 card could be billed as the bouts to be named later. Both of the original headline bouts were either canceled or reconfigured. In the main event, Derrick Lewis will meet Ciryl Gane for the UFC interim heavyweight title. The original plan was for Lewis to face heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou but the latter backed out of the bout.
Women's superstar Amanda Nunes was to defend her UFC bantamweight world title. That bout was scrubbed from the UFC 265 picks when Nunes tested positive for COVID-19.

Regardless, there's still plenty of meat on the bone in the UFC 265 odds to make for some inviting wagering options. For instance, there's an intriguing women's strawweight bout. A rematch of their UFC 188 fight sees Tecia Torres as the -125 betting choice over Angela Hill in the UFC 265 Vegas odds.
Fighter | Fighter | ||
---|---|---|---|
Ciryl Gane | -330 | Derrick Lewis | +250 |
Tecia Torres | -130 | Angela Hill | +110 |
Jose Aldo | -125 | Pedro Munhoz | +105 |
Veteran campaigners Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz are to clash in what should be a hotly contested bantamweight scrap. Aldo is the -125 favorite in UFC 265 picks in this tilt.

Ciryl Gane (9-0-0) vs Derrick Lewis (25-7-1)
Unbeaten Gane, 31, has already assembled an impressive list of conquests that includes wins over Junior Dos Santos, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Alexander Volkov. Gane came to MMA after posting a perfect 13-0 slate in the Muay Thai competition.
Lewis is no slouch to be overlooked, however. He'd posted four straight victories to move up to No. 2 in the UFC heavyweight rankings and earn what he originally thought was going to be a shot at Ngannou's. Now it's the winner of this bout who will get that opportunity.

Lewis shares the UFC record for knockouts (16) with Vitor Belfort. But he's also 36 and failed in his last title shot against Daniel Cormier in 2018. Gane is too young and too fast for him.
Tecia Torres (12-5) vs Angela Hill (13-9)
Torres won a unanimous decision when they originally met over nine years ago at UFC 188. She's the choice in UFC betting to win again. Torres is the more experienced fighter and has faced superior opposition over her career.

In bouts against common opponents, Torres is 2-2, while Hill is 0-3.
Jose Aldo (29-7) vs Pedro Munhoz (19-5-1)
Both Aldo and Munhoz are coming off victories. However, each is also 1-2 over their past three bouts.
Aldo reigned for six years as UFC featherweight champion. He's trying to regain that glory now in a lower-weight class.
Per the UFC, Jose Aldo vs. Pedro Munhoz will be the new co-main event for UFC 265, replacing Amanda Nunes vs. Julianna Pena, which has been postponed.

Munhoz probably has the longest staying power but Aldo's explosive attacking style enables him to win rounds via emphatic short bursts.
