Washington Horse Race Tracks

Located in Auburn, just outside of Seattle, Emerald Downs has been the premier track in Washington since opening in 1996, replacing the 60-year-old Longacres track. In eastern Washington, Yakima Meadows operated as a one-mile dirt oval for 35 years before being closed down in 1998. In Spokane, Playfair Race Track opened its doors in 1901, and was in operation until 2000. In addition to Emerald Downs, short fair grounds race meets are held every year in Dayton, Waitsburg, Walla Walla, and Kennewick.

Emerald Downs

Emerald Downs offers a live racing meet from early April to the end of September, with racing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition, Emerald provides for year-round simulcast wagering from close to 20 tracks around North America. Emerald also has a brand-new casino area.

Northern Quest Casino

Northern Quest is a casino and resort located near Spokane. They offer simulcast wagering in their Turf Club lounge Wednesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. The casino includes slots, table games and poker. There are multiple dining options and a hotel and golf course onsite.

Muckleshoot Casino

The most recent addition to the Emerald Downs satellite locations, Muckleshoot offers self-serve kiosk off track betting in their poker room (contact the casino for days and times). The casino themselves offers slots, table games and poker. There are several dining and beverage options available on site as well.

Club Hollywood Casino

Club Hollywood Casino provides off track betting in their Sportsbook Room. They're open seven-days-per-week, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM on Monday and Tuesday, and 8 AM to 9 PM Wednesday through Sunday. The casino has table games and poker, and a resturant with pub food as well as international cuisine.
