Liverpool F.C, referred to simply as Liverpool or The Reds, are a Premier League soccer team in England. Amusingly, this year could in fact be Liverpool’s year because manager Jurgen Klopp has been heavily backed in the transfer market and now has a side that has top players challenging for all positions.
The goalkeeper position, a weak link in past Liverpool teams, is now filled with £56.25 million signing Alisson while some steel has been added in midfield with the £40.5 million transfer of Fabinho. Klopp also shelled out £13.23 million on Swiss winger Xherdan Shaqiri and an additional £54 million on central midfielder Naby Keita.
Add these players to last season’s transfers of Virgil van Dijk (£70.92 million), Mohamed Salah (£37.8 million) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (£34.2 million) and you see that Klopp should be challenging Man City for the Premier League’s top honors during the current campaign.

Could this be the year Liverpool finally win a Premier League title to add to their 18 League titles? Many believe it is their best chance thanks to Jurgen Klopp being given the financial ammunition to buy the players he wants.
The current Liverpool squad now has the necessary tools to win major honors. They have a solid goalkeeper, a defence marshalled by Virgil van Dijk, a plethora od midfielders to run the show and, arguably, the best front three in the Premier League made up of Mo Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Liverpool drew too many league games last season, tying on no fewer than 12 occasions. They lost five and won 21 games. Had they won two extra games instead of drawing, they would have finished third above Tottenham Hotspur.
Klopp makes his Liverpool team attack whenever possible and their games averaged 3.21 goals per games last season. Incredibly, 74 percent of Liverpool’s away games finished with over 2.5 goals thanks to their defense being almost as bad as their attack was good.
The Reds will likely concede less goals than last season thanks to new defensive personnel so bear that in mind.
It also remains to be seen if Mo Salah can reproduce his form of last season when he scored 32 goals in 36 games to win the Golden Boot. It is also a worry that Liverpool don’t really have a player who is a goalscorer outside of their front three players. If this talented trio is misfiring, where are the goals going to come from?
That said, if Klopp can find a way to stop Liverpool dropping points against lowly teams this season, something they have been guilty of in previous seasons, we could well see Liverpool lift the Premier League title this season.
