Bovada Bookmaker Honors Tainted Super Bowl Prop

When it comes to Super Bowl prop wagers, Bovada is taking the high road, even though bettor Yuri Andrade took the low road. Andrade was the fellow who ran on the field in the midst of Super Bowl 55. It turned out that he'd wagered $50,000 on a Bovada Super Bowl prop on whether someone would run on the field during the game. Even though the outcome was tainted, Bovada is honoring these wagers.
The winter thoroughbred racing season and the continued chase for points and a spot in the 2019 Kentucky Derby kicks into high gear this Saturday at Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans. The Louisiana track hosts the running of the $200,000 (G3) Lecomte Stakes, and the race has drawn a field of 14. They'll be asked to run just over one mile on the Fair Grounds dirt track.

Run at 1 1/8 miles, the Fort Lauderdale offers a purse of $200,000 and features an excellent field of older turf horses, many of which come in with multiple graded-stakes wins to their name.
As evidence of its iconic stature in US horse racing, when Hollywood Park closed in 2014, the Hollywood Derby was not allowed to die but was moved to Del Mar Race Track. The 2018 version of the Hollywood Derby goes this Saturday, and has drawn 14 entries for betting in Bovada's racebook. They'll be racing 1 1/8 miles on the Del Mar Turf for a purse of $300,000.

In addition to the purse money, the horses and their connections will be trying to secure points to qualify for a return trip to Churchill on the first Saturday of May for the 2019 Kentucky Derby.
