Like the rest of us, I think oddsmakers can get caught up in rivalry week and abandon their usually sound logic - or maybe they are just eager to stuff themselves full of turkey this Thanksgiving and didn't do the research. Either way, Boston College at Syracuse is a weak line.

No gargantuan games on the horizon in Week 12, but still plenty of opportunities to beat the books and fatten the bankroll for the upcoming playoff/bowl season. For this week's pick of the day, I'm looking at some strong angles in the Miami/Virginia matchup.

These two teams are heading in opposite directions as the season comes comes down to its final month, so why is the team that still has a pulse getting six points here?

The wheels can always fall off in college football much like they did for Clemson and Washington State in week 7, but fortunately for us the betting wheels have been well-greased as we've gone 4-1 ATS over the last two weeks.

From this seat, the college football betting lines have been juicy the last few weeks, and fortunately that trend continues into Week 7. As usual, I take a closer look at the three best opportunities to beat the spread.

The fifth week of the college football season features three days of action with Texas heading north to Ames, Iowa, to face Iowa State in the Thursday night opener. Twenty of the Top 25 teams put their records on the line, while No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 8 Michigan are among those with a bye this weekend.

The top two college football teams in the nation have cupcakes for opponents this week. Alabama is a four-touchdown favorite over Colorado State, while Oklahoma is picked to win by almost five scores over Tulane. Both powerhouses have three ranked opponents remaining on their 2017 schedules.

The opening weekend of college football was filled with some spectacular fireworks and a few outright duds. Alabama, the top-ranked team in the nation, crushed a serious contender in Florida State. And Howard, a 45-point underdog, pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the history of this game by shocking UNLV. Bring on Week 2.

Nick Saban or Urban Meyer don’t win the college football national title every year, it just seems that way. In the last 12 seasons, the head coaches of Alabama and Ohio State are leading the entire nation in championship crowns 7-5. The Crimson Tide and Buckeyes are at or near the top in preseason polls again this year. These two powerhouses will likely be there when it comes playoff time in 2018 as well.
