You can say the things were bleak for the Pittsburgh Penguins in Nashville, and you'd be right. But there was a bright spot for the Pens - captain Sidney Crosby scored his first goal in his last 13 Stanley Cup final games.
Down 2-0 to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Nashville Predators have lost just once at home in the playoffs, so that has to be their rallying cry as they return to Bridgestone Arena and look to fight their way back into the Stanley Cup final.
Counted out when down 3-1 to the defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins, the Washington Capitals must feel good after forcing Game 7. On the other hand, facing the Edmonton Oilers, the Anaheim Ducks are haunted by their Game 7 history.
The Washington Capitals found life with a Game 5 victory on home ice over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Leading 3-2, the Pens need to close out this series with a Game 6 victory in their barn. They don't want to tempt fate with a Game 7 in Washington.
Rookies Matt Murray, Bryan Rust and Conor Sheary played significant roles last spring as Pittsburgh won the Stanley Cup. This year, rookie forward Jake Guentzel is a big reason why the Penguins are on the brink of sweeping Columbus.
