Toronto FC paved the way for the Maple Leafs and Raptors to follow suit. As both of the latter make noise respectively in the NHL and NBA, it was Toronto FC - along with the Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts - who put the city back on the sporting championship map, ending Toronto's long title drought with a 2017 MLS Cup triumph. And who's to say they won't do it again?
