Soccer Transfer News And Rumors
Sergio Aguero to Chelsea?
Having already signed Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma for a reported €35 million and Tiemoue Bakayoka from Monaco for €40 million, Chelsea are reported to still have unfinished business in the transfer market. Some reports in the British press suggest Chelsea could be about to make a move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero. Any deal would likely smash the British transfer record. Meanwhile, Chelsea have apparently offered Atletico Madrid’s Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco a five-year contract.
The Blues, however, look set to miss out on Juventus’ left-back Alex Sandro as the Italian outfit do not want to lose another defender after Leonard Bonucci joined AC Milan last week. Possibly leaving Stamford Bridge are Loic Remy (either to Everton or Southampton), Diego Costa (to Atletico Madrid) and Nemanja matic who could head to Juventus is Chelsea lower their £40 million asking price.
Manchester United Favorite Set to Leave Old Trafford
It was only last season that Manchester United and Spain goalkeeper David D’Gea was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and those rumors are circulating again. United boss Jose Mourinho is apparently willing to let the 26-year-old Spanish international leave Old Trafford for the Santiago Bernabeu but only if Real’s German midfielder Tony Kroos is offered up as part of the deal. Also, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be offered a short-term deal to return to United if he manages to fully recover from his serious knee injury.
Spurs to Finally Enter the Transfer Market
Despite finishing second in the Premier League last season, Tottenham Hotspur are yet to add to their title-challenging squad, although that could be set to change this week. Spurs and Everton are yet to agree on a suitable fee for midfielder Ross Barkley although he is apparently keen to strike a deal with the London club. Another potential new signing for Spurs could be the 19-year-old Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth who will cost the White Hart Lane outfit close to £8 million.
Is Gareth Bale Set to Leave Real Madrid?
While no club has been linked with signing him, Real Madrid are rumored to allow Welsh superstar Gareth Bale leave the club in order to help raise funds for a potential move for Monaco’s 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe. Previously, Bale had been linked with a move to Manchester United but Bale has said he is happy at Real Madrid and Arsenal manager the Sun on Sunday that he believes Mbappe will stay at Monaco for one more year.
Alexis Sanchez Set to Leave Arsenal
Speaking of Arsenal, their want away Chile international Alexis Sanchez is still a target for Premier League rivals Manchester City. Sanchez worked with Pep Guardiola when the pair were at Barcelona and Sanchez is thought to be keen on rekindling their working relationship. Sanchez was interviewed by Chilean television this weekend and he was reported as stating he wishes to play Champions League soccer this season and Arsenal failed to qualify for this season’s competition. Bayern Munich has officially ended their interest in Sanchez after signing James Rodriguez on a two-year loan.
